US is the biggest economy in the world, but what visitors and even most of the US population don’t know is that it also houses the largest number of National Parks for any country. A road trip with your friends in the summer is considered obligatory in some parts of the US, but we have always been more attracted towards traversing the National Parks. Nevertheless, even we will admit that it requires an ample amount of time and some resources to actually enjoy the sights of Mother Nature.
Where to begin your journey though? It’s a tough question. The logical answer would be to start with the park which is nearest to you. But, if you are going to start with the most popular one first, then it is undoubtedly the Yellowstone National Park. There are many reasons which make it one of the most popular national parks. Who would not like to rest their eyes upon the Old Faithful? But, of course this isn’t the only reason. The park has more than 1000 archaeological sites along with some really beautiful scenery. The Yellowstone Lake is huge and its being present at 7700 feet above the sea level only adds to its beauty.
However, all this isn’t possible with proper planning and appropriately packing for the trip. Whether you are traveling by air or by road, we would suggest that you start with a nice Backcountry backpack. Then make a list of the items which you will need to take with you. Go through the list again and make it more practical. When you are sure that you have everything down, then it is finally time to start packing. Even in backpacks the rolling method will save some really precious space and contrary to popular belief it will not wrinkle up your shirts.
